a cover of Robbie Basho's 'Blue Crystal Fire'. Recorded by Irmler from Faust in
Faust's studio in Berlin.
Born in Russia, raised in Israel and now living in Berlin, constantly touring around
the globe. Mary Ocher’s upbringing is reflected in her free music and wide artistry.
This new 10” was recorded in Kraut-legends Faust's studio and produced by Faust member
Irmler. Among the 8 tracks here is a beautiful cover version of Robbie Basho's “Blue
Crystal Fire" and the percussive track "Ulifant Fadera”, straight from the wilderness.

This Swedish jazz debut album was recorded spontaneously in one day at this old,
beautiful vintage Tambourine Studio in the South of Sweden (Malmö). Sensational jazz
kid Olle Vikström and his 4-piece band (drums, upright bass, clavinet/piano and horns)
quickly learned the beautiful compositions and recorded it before they knew it too
well as Olle wanted the beauty of the first take and the moments of songs just being
created. The result is touching. Both playful, unpredictable and also catchy. There
are moments when the music reminds you of Charlie Haden and Carla Bley, but most of
all this is the sound of a new brilliant jazz composer/artist.

Unique meeting between two masters. Lamine Cissokho is a Griot from Senegal and Manish
Pingle is a Indian slide guitar raga master from Mumbai. Here they are meeting in
a cozy studio in Sweden -invited by the producer Karl Jonas- and blending and
arranging their melodies and compositions into eachother's. The result is breathtaking.
Beautiful and intricate. And not like any other's as this is the birth of 'New
Continents'! Comes with poster plus liner notes by Cisshoko and Pingle on the back

Various styles and inspirations keeps flowing through this free,soulful and non
compromising album. You might find parts on "Signs" where the album is transformed
right into postrock-land as well as jazz moods, stoner rock, shiny pop, cinematic
moods and improvised jams. No boundaries on "Signs." All is wonderfully performed
by an open minded band that deliver the goods, no matter what.

SASF 56 HORSEFACE SANAKIRJAN TAKANA LP 05.2022
"Sanakirjan Takana" is Horseface's second full length album. It is mixed and
co-produced by Daniel Fagerström (Viagra Boys, Jenny Wilson etc.). Horseface plays
rhythmic post punk, combining drum machines with acoustic drums and percussion.
The band tries to apply the openness and experimentalism from the DIY explosion
of the early eighties with contemporary influences and perspectives. The resulting
sound is oozing with effects from Fagerström's dubwise production. Melodic motifs
slowly evolve while the steady pulse of the bass anchors the songs. The vocals
are in Finnish, Sweden's largest minority language. The title of the record,
"Sanakirjan Takana," means "behind the dictionary". It alludes to a short story
written by Hanna's late mother, found after her untimely passing. The short story
served as an inspiration for the lyrical theme of the title track and the record
overall (a pack of cigarettes hidden behind the dictionary). This is a co-release
between the labels Released By Kopotikop, Joteskii Groteskii and Sing A Song
Fighter with support from the Swedish Arts Council

SASF 59 FIRST FLOOR POWER THERE IS HOPE LP 06.2022
Celebrating the 20 years anniversary for this cult classic debut album from the
one and only First Floor Power. The Swedish quartet released their debut album
"There Is Hope" on Silence Records in 2001 with a bang. Produced together with
keyboard maestro Jonas Jonasson (Bob hHnd) the album sounded not like anything
else around then. And it still holds a wild, unique vibe and atmosphere. The two
first reviews of the album were not holding it back. The free entertainment
magazine Nöjesguiden published a review stating it was the worst album of the year
and that the band looked silly (the reviewer also, in the same edition, gave The
Knife's debut album an equally low review and then he quit writing for the
magazine...). The legendary music writer Lennart Persson said the opposite of
"There Is Hope," calling it "one of the best albums ever made in Sweden."
And from there on, people loved having strong opinions on this debut album which
now finally, 20 years later, will be released on vinyl for the first time.
